The Beginning

     My name is Tanisha, the lady behind the tasty creations. The journey into designer sweets really took flight with a single, joyful celebration - my daughters first birthday, the preparation for that special day sent me into a deep dive of cupcake sponges, fillings, and homemade frosting and filled chocolates. Since the party prep back in August, I've had the opportunity to introduce my little one to the pastas that I started making at home 8 years ago. Sharing the love of baking and homemade starches has driven the creation of Sweets and Starches. 

      I'm looking forward to continuing to share this passion with family, friends, and the community alike. You can find me and, on some days, the whole family at our local markets in Lake and Sonoma Counties.
